A 37½ m² garden transformation, replacing an overgrown lawn with a generous Quartzite porcelain patio and practical raised planters.

Rebecca wanted to turn an underused Littlemore garden into a clean, welcoming space for outdoor dining and everyday use, with the existing boundary and access retained.
Constraints
The excavation revealed predominantly clay ground. To create a stable foundation, we increased the compacted Type 1 sub-base from the usual 100 mm to 150 mm.
Our solution
We installed 600 × 900 mm Quartzite porcelain slabs across 37½ m², built raised planters from pine sleepers and prepared the clay ground with the deeper compacted Type 1 base required for lasting stability.
